Speak and think globally

The International School of Los Angeles is a non-profit, independent, international school committed to bilingual education and academic excellence in a nurturing environment.

Our mission is to develop bilingual critical thinkers who are open-minded, confident and caring, and equipped to thrive in a diverse, competitive world.

We offer a preschool through 12th grade curriculum that culminates in the French baccalauréat or the International Baccalaureate®’s Diploma Programme.

CORE VALUES

  • Excellence

  • Respect

  • Diversity

WHO WE ARE

With over 60 nationalities and 45 spoken languages represented on our 4 LA-based campuses, students study and live in a diverse global community every day.

All students study a common English-French bilingual program from preschool through 8th grade, at which point they enter either the "international" or "pre-French baccalauréat" section.

The only school in Los Angeles to offer both the International Baccalaureate® Diploma and the French baccalauréat, the International School of Los Angeles has recently been authorized to offer the full continuum of the French Ministry of Education’s section internationale américaine from elementary through 12th grade. The Washington Post consistently lists the International School of Los Angeles as one of the nation’s most challenging private high schools.

OUR PASADENA CAMPUS

The Pasadena campus welcomes 130 students from preschool through 5th grade.

Regularly gathering for, and bonding during, campus-wide events, students and families enjoy an especially tight-knit community. The annual 3-day Joshua Tree camping trip, in particular, remains a special highlight of the campus’s educational offerings and is a unique bonding and community-building experience for all. During their fifth grade year, students join other campus 5th graders for the annual 10-day trip to France during the month of March.
